Dear Cat Exhibitors, Superfans, Vendors and all Supporters
It is with deep regret that we must announce the cancellation of our upcoming Belfast show due to circumstances beyond our control. As an independent UK business, we have been proud to host LCWW licensed events across the country, most recently in Leeds and Surrey, both of which we managed to execute successfully, despite facing significant challenges.
Unfortunately, a targeted campaign of misinformation and malicious actions from a specific group has seriously affected our ability to proceed with the Belfast show. Over the past weeks, this group has been actively spreading false claims, falsely labelling our event as a scam. Instead of focusing on supporting the event and fostering a healthy community, they have contacted our venues, exhibitors, vendors, and sponsors, attempting to convince them to withdraw from the event. Their efforts were a deliberate attempt to sabotage our show and prevent it from going ahead.
Despite these obstacles, we succeeded in hosting two events — in Leeds and Surrey — and received overwhelming positive feedback from exhibitors and attendees alike. We are proud to have persevered against these odds and to have delivered exceptional shows that showcased the strength of our community especially after this propaganda attack on the prior Loving Cats Worldwide®️ events company, LondonCats Limited which caused the cancellation of London and Bristol earlier this year. However, instead of recognizing this achievement of our business, the same group has now escalated their tactics by publicly degrading our event. They've made hostile remarks about our displays, our efforts, and the overall success of the shows, spreading negative propaganda across various platforms despite their own removal of multiple events.
We must ask ... is this the behaviour of a group that truly has ticket holders’ best interests at heart? Or are we witnessing a calculated attempt to elevate the UK group who have launched an identical company only with intention to build their reputation and damage us and all associated with Loving Cats Worldwide®️ at any cost, regardless of the impact on the community and the individuals who rely on these events to succeed? Attached is just a glimpse of the propaganda we are receiving which is heartbreaking for us as three hard working mothers trying to create an inclusive happy space to celebrate the love of cats.
Due to the significant disruption caused, we are unfortunately unable to proceed with the Belfast show. We have already incurred non-refundable costs for hotels, judge fees, and flights, which we regretfully cannot recover. At this stage, we do not have the exhibitor support needed to run a successful show in Belfast.
Please rest assured that all tickets booked from the 10th of June will be fully refunded by us. For bookings made prior to that date you will be contacted by the Loving Cats Worldwide®️ event company with your options.
We truly appreciate your understanding and continued support during these challenging times. This isn’t the end of the road as we are a driven team and will continue to spread the love of cats all over the UK.
