Just to let everyone know, we'll be available throughout the holiday season, for boarding, daycare, and grooming. No closures over December for Christmas, New Year, or other holidays, so we're here to look after your fur babies if you want to visit family, go on some day trips, or just bring your pups over for a holiday spruce-up! 🤗😉💙

Some vets and groomers would have shaved this girl, which could have put her coat at risk of never growing back and also left her feeling super uncomfortable.

As a Japanese Spitz x Shiba Inu, she has a double coat, which consists of a dead undercoat and a healthy new coat on top. If she was shaved, the healthy new coat would be trimmed, leaving behind only the itchy dead coat, which can cause bald patches and discourage new hair from growing through.

It might be hard for you to see the difference but, if you look closely, the top left shows her before I brushed out the dead coat, which was giving her a browner colour and fluffier body, and the others show her after, when the hair is black and shiny 🖤
