Our purpose:
Under the maxim that when looking to future we must respect the past, Lusitanos d'Atela's main objective is to
raise quality horses within the Lusitano breed standard, combining high quality gaits and functionality with a great character. Above all, we seek to breed Lusitano horses capable of competing at international level, while respecting the morphology and character that identifies the Lusitano. Our approach:
Our mares are of a vast group of different bloodlines, that have proved themselves to be outstanding at the highest levels of the Lusitano breed, so as to widen the genetic pool of our stud farm. Both males and females are broken in to assess their qualities and characteristics. We use advanced techniques of reproduction, as artificial insemination and embryo transfer, to allow top mares and stallions to keep in high level competition and also to have a larger offspring of great quality each year. We believe this conjunction of factors empowers our products to reach their maximum potential of growth and to develop their individual qualities, enabling them to be ambassadors of the Lusitano Breed worldwide! Some of our achievements:
