The Equestrian Centre at Quinta da Alorna and Filipe and Sofia Canelas Pinto

Situated on the south bank of the Tejo river in Almeirim, near Santarém, Quinta da Alorna has a total area of 2,800 hectares dedicated to the farm, which includes horse breeding, horse riding, cereals, fruit, forest and vineyard. The property has 220 hectares of vineyards inserted in the Tejo wine region, 1900 hectares of forest and 500 hectares intended for agricultural purposes. There is also a wine shop and a palace that can be visited.

In 2004, Quinta da Alorna Equestrian Centre established as a multi-discipline Equestrian centre, it currently has dressage facilities for all levels of training.

Filipe is a Master, Level 4 trainer and rider and was a member of the Portuguese international team in several European and World Championships. Filipe has won several international Grand Prix Gold Medal Awards.

Sofia is a Level 3 trainer and rider with extensive experience in training professional riders as well as trainers for their certifications as professional trainers. Sofia has Gold Medal Awards and Silver Medal Awards in the Portuguese National Professional Championships at Prix St George level.
