How nice to see the Golly again

Once a familiar sight in British kitchens, the old Robertson’s jam jar, adorned with the playful Golly figure, evokes a bygone era of simple pleasures and teatime traditions. Children would eagerly spread thick, fruity blackcurrant preserve on warm toast while collecting the charming Golly badges that came with each jar. The bright, colorful mascot, with his cheerful smile and dapper outfit, became a symbol of sweet treats and happy, carefree afternoons. Though times have changed, the memory of that purple label and the comforting richness of Robertson’s jam remains a bittersweet reminder of childhoods past.

🐣🏇 Riders at Pinetrees Help Children in Need 🐎🌟

A huge thank you to everyone who made our Easter Party such a wonderful success! With generous support from our main sponsor SandyBlue, the day was filled with big rosettes, fun goody bags, and fantastic prizes. Special thanks to our judge Bev McHale for her encouraging comments and fair scoring across all classes.

Our riders gained valuable experience in relaxed, friendly riding classes — and there was great talent on display! 🏆

🌸 The fancy dress class was as popular as ever — hats off to Pandora French & Illustre for a magical Easter Tale!

👏 Clear Round Jumping, designed by Lucie Cabrita, helped riders show off their skills over our beautiful new jumps sponsored by SandyBlue, Engel & Völkers, and IBC.

🏅 Riders with both strong equitation and clear rounds were eligible for the SandyBlue trophies, proudly won by Filly Russell, Eva Ezau & Amy Lloyd.

🎁 Thanks also to Horse World (EN125 near TIBI) for the tack shop vouchers, and to Algarve Fine Foods for the delicious lunch.

🌼 Most importantly, thanks to your generosity, we raised €262 plus clothing, toys, and Easter treats for local families in need — distributed by the Sociedade de São Vicente de Paulo, Almancil.

Well done to all our riders — your kindness and community spirit made this day extra special 💛
