Pinetrees Riding

Had an amazing time riding at Pinetrees. The horses are beautiful and so well looked after and the staff are attentive and helpful. I rode out with Beverley who is very experienced and knows all about the local area - she told us about the wildlife as we were riding through the forest. It was a fun ride and I even managed a couple of jumps. Would highly recommend.

What a good idea

It is always sad to lose a special pet, even more so when we have to make that terrible decision. 💔

This weekend we lost our beloved Tarzan. He had been a little “ off” sometimes in the last few months but in the last few days he developed rapid heartbeat and difficulty breathing and was obviously distressed.

Our vet, Nuno Onofre, was wonderfully supportive, and we discovered that Tarzan had a tumour on the prostate and in the lungs. So, it was not a good prognosis. 😔

He was a great character and did a wonderful job looking after us and the horses, and entertaining the clients. He will be missed.❤️

This will be an good event for our Pinetrees clients to attend.

Today we look forward to the Portuguese School of Equestrian Art Masterclass 2025 at Aintree International Equestrian Centre next month.

Our first trainer is Master Chief Rider João Pedro Rodrigues. João Pedro began riding aged 10 and has had a rich and varied equestrian career competing in many of the disciplines including show jumping, dressage and eventing.

He was a student of the classic masters João Trigueiros de Aragão, Diogo de Lafões, Nuno de Oliveira and Dr. Guilherme Borbaand, and completed an internship with the Spanish School of Vienna in 1983. He joined EPAE in 1980 and has been Master Chief Rider since 2012. What a resume!

The Masterclass is a fabulous opportunity to immerse yourself in the training techniques used by the Portuguese school. There will be theoretical and practical sessions on both days with the opportunity for the audience to ask questions direct to the Portuguese team.

🎉 Huge congratulations to our amazing Pinetrees Level II riders who have just earned their ABRS Trot certificate! 🐴👏 This milestone marks a big step forward in their technical development of the rising trot — their transitions are smoother, and they’re really feeling those diagonals now! 💪✨

A special thank you to our judges, Prune and Ania 🇫🇷, French career students currently spending two weeks at Pinetrees on an Erasmus-funded work experience placement. We’re so lucky to have their expertise and support! 💼🌍

A huge thank you to everyone who made our Easter Party such a wonderful success! With generous support from our main sponsor SandyBlue, the day was filled with big rosettes, fun goody bags, and fantastic prizes. Special thanks to our judge Bev McHale for her encouraging comments and fair scoring across all classes.

🏅 Riders with both strong equitation and clear rounds were eligible for the SandyBlue trophies, proudly won by Filly Russell, Eva Ezau & Amy Lloyd.
