Lil Mama (new nickname “Kikita”) is recovering from her spay surgery in Puerto Rico. This girl is one tough cookie!She catches her freedom flight to Minnesota this week and we have a potential adopter and back up foster home volunteer waiting to welcome her. Mama Kikita is only two years old 😱 and has a great long life to live ahead of her.

We are collecting donations for her surgery if you have any funds to spare. Having this procedure ensures we not only rescued her, but an effort to stop the endless of cycle of unwanted litters of puppies. Please donate if you can, every dollar helps!

It’s not every day you go from homeless on the streets to catching multiple freedom flights escorted by Grammy winning musicians 🙀🎺🎷🪘🎶!

Lucky for Mofongo, Rosa, and Meatball this really happened! These kiddos made it from Puerto Rico ➡️ Florida ➡️ Maine today and into the arms of their furever families 🥹💗.

Thank you to the fosters, volunteers, adopters, flight angels, and the social networks that made all of this possible.

All of Preciosa's pups are settled into their forever homes! Mama completed her last round of heartworm 💗🪱 and once spayed she will be ready to fly off the island too!

We are thankful for the opportunity to experience do the miracle of new life! However, as we are expecting a newborn of our own the coming weeks this crew will be heading to another volunteer's home next week.

They will be ready for adoption early January! Please inquire if you or someone you know is interested in adding a sato to their family this winter season!

Laika had a successful journey 🛫 from SJU ➡️DFW➡️COS➡️ her FURever home in the Rocky Mountains! This was a truly selfless team effort of our rescue team across the country. SURPRISE PUPPIES❣️ Preciosa delivered 5 healthy babies (4 lil ladies, 1 dude) in our home on Wednesday night! We had no idea she was carrying and experienced our first litter being born. What an incredibly beautiful and transformative bond with her - she let us touch and help her, but this warrior delivered essentially unassisted with such grace and strength! We are so proud of her! 💪🏼👸🏻

However, as we are due with our own human baby next month, this timing is not ideal for us to continue to foster her.

URGENTLY SEEKING a foster home for Preciosa and her puppies as they need to be with her for at least 8 weeks! After that, babies and Mama are both up for adoption. 🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕❤️🐕

The pandemic has caused major shifts for everyone, but PRSR is seeing a solution to a problem! Pets who are being abandoned can easily become a new home office companion! If this is you or someone you know, please consider adopting! 🐕🐾

We need to make sure that access to housing doesn't come down to a decision between giving up a beloved family pet and securing a safe place to live.

Meet Preciosa! Rescued from Luquillo by a couple of ladies who spent weeks feeding her to earn her trust. After a vet trip, we sadly discovered she has heartworms ❤️🐛 and will require serious treatment. For now, she is in foster care learning to be around other dogs and humans! She's a bit shy and a mere 20 lbs! Anyone interested in adopting an easy going "home office" companion?
