This police officer rescued this little dog. Last Saturday, he took it to SAS, and it is currently in the care of one of our volunteers, Ramona Alverio.

Handsome Skies grabbed the attention of his new adopter the moment they met him—they simply couldn't let go! As a result, he was adopted and welcomed into his new family as a very important member.
All of his struggles and the journey that brought him to our partner shelter paid off. Skies has found the loving home he deserves and is ready to begin an amazing new chapter filled with happiness, comfort, and love.
We couldn't be happier for him and wish him an amazing life with his forever family! 🐾❤️

🐾Diego🐾Adopted🐾

I am writing to thank you for rescuing Tony and sending him to Richmond, VA for adoption. I adopted him and renamed him Diego in October 2022. I was reviewing items in his folder today and noticed the name of your organization on his 2022 rabies certificate.

Diego doesn’t like other dogs and only tolerates a few people, but he and I love each other. He is my best friend, and I am grateful that you helped us find each other. Attached below is a picture of him lounging on his blanket. Puerto Rico is one of my favorite places to visit, and I was just there in April of this year. Your work matters. Thank you for saving my best friend.

A tiny and fragile little guy found himself alone in a very vulnerable and dangerous situation. Thanks to a caring member of the police force in San Juan, he was located and rescued just in time.
We were contacted and immediately stepped in to help. Since then, he has been receiving around-the-clock care, including bottle feeding, a safe and loving environment, and all the attention he needs to grow strong and healthy.
Today, this little survivor is being lovingly fostered by one of our dedicated volunteers, where he continues to thrive each day.

✨ Our forever handsome and very lucky Oreo ✨
Oreo went through all the survival hurdles so many of our Satos sadly endure — abandonment, surviving on the streets, the rescue process, and life in a shelter cage while learning to trust and heal again.
But his story did not end there. Through resilience, patience, and hope, Oreo became part of one of our newest rescue flight endeavors, giving him the opportunity for a brand-new beginning… and ultimately leading him straight into the loving arms of his forever family. 🐾✈️❤️

Oreo, your strength and determination will continue to inspire so many of the other Satos still waiting for their chance at happiness.
