WE FOUND OUR FUTURE HOME! 🏡❤️
After months of searching for the right place for Amigos de Los Animales, we are SO excited to finally share that we have found a property we believe can become the next home of ADLA!
But finding it was only the first step. Now we need your help to make it OURS.

We are officially fundraising to purchase the property and begin the work needed to create a safe, functional home for our dogs and our team.

Meet JON!

We’re also hoping to find Jon a foster family! All of his siblings have already left the shelter, and now he’s the only one left, waiting for his turn to have a home of his own.

Jon has had foster experience before and already knows how wonderful it is to be in a home. He does well in a home environment and would love the chance to get out of the shelter again, relax, and enjoy the comfort and routine of a family.

Whether it’s a short-term foster or, even better, a forever home, we’d love to see him get that opportunity!

Minnie has left for FOSTER!

A huge thank you to all the volunteers who have stepped up to provide short- and long-term fosters, as well as those who continue to take our dogs out for walks, runs, adventures, or even just a day away from the shelter.

We currently have 8 dogs out in foster, and we’re striving for more!

If you know someone who could help, or if you can open your home yourself, please DM us! We provide EVERYTHING your foster dog needs: food, supplies, enrichment, and vet care. All you have to do is open your home and give them a little extra love.

Every dog out of the shelter means one more dog getting the chance to decompress, be seen, and find their forever home.

As we work hard to get our dogs out of the shelter and into homes, we would LOVE to see Coconut be one of them. He would be the perfect companion for an explorer. He loves the beach, running, and, of course, cuddles!

Coconut has never had the chance to leave the shelter for a foster or trial adoption, and we would really love for someone to finally choose him. He does best as the only dog in the home, but he has so much love to give.

Come meet Coconut and give him a chance to show you what a great companion he can be!

FOSTERS NEEDED!

Our shelter is overcrowded, and with our upcoming relocation, we’re doing everything we can to get our dogs into foster homes and give them a break from shelter life.

For some of them, a foster home could mean their first real taste of a quiet home, a soft bed, and someone to call their own , even if it’s just temporary.

We provide EVERYTHING: food, enrichment, and veterinary care. You simply provide your home, your time, and a little love.

If you can open your home to one of our dogs, or have questions about fostering, please DM us.

We are in a DIRE situation.

Just two days apart, two moms were dropped off at our shelter.

The first was dropped off openly, even after we explained that we currently have no space and that our priority is getting dogs OUT through fosters and adoptions so we can relocate. She is currently pregnant.

The second was abandoned overnight with her six puppies. Sadly, one of the puppies was run over. When we arrived, we struggled to catch the mom because she kept running back to her deceased baby.

Our dogs are being cared for, but we simply have no more space. We are actively trying to get dogs into foster and adoptive homes so we can focus on our upcoming move.

This is why fosters are so important right now. Even temporarily opening your home to a dog can help alleviate the overcrowding and make our relocation a little more manageable.

We provide EVERYTHING you need to foster. You provide the space and a safe place for them to land.

Right now, our goal is simple: get dogs OUT, not bring more dogs IN.

Perla, one of our longest residents, and Angelina, one of our puppies, have both left for foster!

Two dogs who now get to experience something they’ve been waiting for: a home environment, a little more one-on-one attention, and the chance to simply be dogs!

We’re so grateful to their foster families for opening their homes and giving them this opportunity. We can’t wait to see them settle in and watch what comes next for both of them!
