Instytut Upowszechniania Koordynacji i Rozwoju Sp. z o.o., założyła w 1991 roku mgr Jadwiga Michalska, wieloletni nauczyciel języka polskiego, działalność oświatową spółka rozpoczęła
w 1992 roku tworząc Zespół Szkół Zaocznych. W 1994 roku Instytut rozszerzył kierunki kształcenia powołując Zespół Szkół dla Dorosłych. Wszystkie funkcjonujące szkoły uzyskały uprawnienia szkół publicznych w 1996 roku. W 1997 roku Instytut powołał Szkoły dla Młodzieży. Obecnie wszystkie szkoły powołane przez Instytut noszą nazwę: Szkoły dla Młodzieży i Dorosłych. W kwietniu 2005 roku Instytut rozszerzył działalność o Agencję Pośrednictwa Pracy oraz Doradztwo Personalne, a w 2006 roku powołał Instytucję Szkoleniową. mgr Jadwiga Michalska
