After all those years with Berta, Saiga and Arma, we had never once dealt with a foreign body. Groza and Orsis, however, have recently decided to remind us not to get too comfortable.

Yesterday, by pure chance, Piotrek went downstairs and found Orsis coughing and trying unsuccessfully to vomit. That’s how we quickly discovered she had eaten part of an extension cord. I don’t even want to think about what could have happened if he hadn’t gone downstairs.

And of course, what better time for an emergency than Sunday night.

Luckily, we had Clevor at home just in case. It worked quickly, followed by another two hours of anxious monitoring.

Everything turned out fine. Hopefully, we’ve finally used up our quota of bad luck.
