Ten years ago today, I became NannyMel. A beautiful litter of 3 special boys, and 1 precious girl was born on Christmas Eve. The start of a legacy I hadn't even dreamed of at that point.
Unfortunately nature can be cruel and we lost "Edward" (Red Boy) at just 4 months old due to a portosystemic shunt, but the remaining 3 thrived.
Argos (Green Boy), joined Rhonda & Mike and was a much loved pet. Kingsley (Black Boy - because of the biscuit dot on his head he was born with), joined Rachie & Adam and sky-rocketed Rachie into the show world. And my beautiful Eva (Pink Girl), stayed at home and became the foundation of Ahzu Samoyeds. Still ever loyal, and never far from my side.
Kingsley
SUPREME CHAMPION AHZU NIGHTMARE BEFOR CHRISTMAS N.SPRD. RN. WPD. WPDX.*
Kingsley was our first Supreme Champion, a Best in Show and specialty Best in Show winner, first Samoyed in Australia to earn the Working Pack Dog Excellence title, much loved family member and still enjoying life today and competing in Sprint Dog competitions at 10 years old.
Eva
GRAND CHAMPION AHZU YOU BETTER WATCH OUT WPD.
My heart and soul, Eva is special beyond words. The 2019 Samoyed National Best in Show Winner. Mother of 12 puppies (2 litters of 6), 4 of which joined our show team and became champions, 1 of those went on to become a Supreme Champion and multiple Best in Show winner. Eva was always the pack leader, and to be honest a bitch in every sense of the word, but she is hard working, loyal, and still out enjoying life as a Ambassador for UNSW and working on her Sprint Dog title (when we can get entries).
These special dogs were only the beginning, but they have forged a legacy in just 10 years that I can be proud of. The first of 5 generations of home-bred Ahzu Samoyeds. Today most of our team enjoys sporting over showing, and I couldn't be prouder of all they are achieving. A testament to their owners dedication and training.
Happy Birthday my beautiful babies xx
