🐾 Late Night Emergency Surgery β€” Saving a Stray Life ❀️

This stray cat was brought in with a severely traumatized limb following an accident. On examination, the foot had already undergone complete tissue necrosis, with exposed and damaged nerves, deep contamination, and maggot infestation present within the wound.

After thorough clinical assessment, it was confirmed that the limb was non-salvageable and reconstructive repair was no longer possible. To save the cat’s life and prevent further systemic infection and suffering, complete limb amputation was the only viable option.

The surgery was performed successfully under general anesthesia with careful surgical management and proper pain control. Alhamdulillah, the patient showed a smooth recovery from anesthesia and has started the healing journey strongly. 🩺✨

Even stray animals deserve compassionate, professional, and timely medical care. One surgery can mean the difference between suffering and a second chance at life. 🐈

Avian emergency case πŸ¦œπŸ’š

A 2.5-month-old Green Ringneck parrot presented with marked hyporexia, reduced crop motility, lethargy, and gaseous distension of the crop suggestive of early Crop Stasis / Sour Crop syndrome with secondary fermentation.

On clinical evaluation, the crop appeared distended with excessive gas accumulation, indicating delayed crop emptying and impaired gastrointestinal motility. Such conditions in juvenile parrots can rapidly progress toward dehydration, nutritional deficiency, bacterial or yeast overgrowth, and systemic weakness if left untreated.

The patient was started on supportive avian management including careful crop assessment, decompressive management, fluid support, gastrointestinal motility support, and close nutritional monitoring to help restore normal crop function and feeding behavior. Continuous observation is being maintained to evaluate crop emptying time, appetite response, hydration status, and f***l output. 🩺✨

Crop disorders in hand-fed and juvenile parrots are commonly associated with improper feeding temperature, contaminated feed, overfeeding, delayed digestion, dysbiosis, or underlying infectious causes. Early veterinary intervention remains critical for successful recovery and prevention of severe gastrointestinal complications.

Hoping for a smooth recovery and return to normal feeding activity for this little feathered patient πŸ’šπŸ¦

A grooming session can sometimes reveal hidden health problems that owners never get to see beneath the thick coat. βœ‚οΈπŸΆ

This adorable Shih Tzu was brought to us for trimming and routine grooming, but during the process we discovered painful moist pyoderma on both elbows along with noticeable flea bite dermatitis affecting the skin. 🩺

The elbows had developed moist, inflamed, infected skin lesions caused by constant pressure, irritation, moisture retention, and licking. On top of that, flea infestation had triggered severe skin irritation and allergic dermatitis, making the dog extremely uncomfortable. Flea bite dermatitis is not β€œjust itching” β€” even a few flea bites can lead to intense allergic reactions, redness, hair loss, scratching, secondary bacterial infections, and continuous discomfort.

Because Shih Tzus have dense coats, these skin conditions often stay hidden until grooming or trimming exposes the affected areas. Many pet owners only notice excessive scratching or licking, while underneath the fur the skin may already be inflamed and infected.

After proper trimming, cleaning, skin management, parasite control, and treatment planning, this little patient finally got relief and can now begin healing comfortably. πŸ’™πŸΎ

This case is a reminder that regular grooming is not only for beauty β€” it plays a major role in early detection of skin diseases, parasites, wounds, infections, and allergies. Early veterinary attention can prevent these conditions from becoming severe and painful.

Healthy coat. Healthy skin. Happy life. ✨
