Common symptoms include fever, vomiting, lethargy, increased drinking/urination, and jaundice. It is zoonotic, meaning it can spread from pets to humans.

If your dog vomits once but acts normal, withhold food for 12 hours while ensuring they stay hydrated with small, frequent sips of water. If vomiting stops, introduce a bland diet (boiled chicken/white rice) for 1–2 days. Contact a vet if vomiting is frequent, persists over 24 hours, or includes blood.

Dogs are loyal friends — but bites can happen if they feel scared, stressed, or threatened.
🛑 Prevention is everything: • Don’t approach unknown dogs suddenly
• Avoid disturbing dogs while eating or sleeping
• Never tease or pull tails/ears
• Let the dog smell you before touching
• Watch warning signs (growling, stiff body, showing teeth)
⚠️ If bitten: • Wash wound immediately with soap & water (10–15 mins)
• Apply antiseptic
• Seek medical care ASAP (rabies risk ❗)
• Don’t ignore even small bites
❤️ Respect dogs = Stay safe + keep them safe too
