🌙 Eid ul Azha Mubarak! 🐐✨

May this blessed occasion remind us of the true spirit of sacrifice, faith, compassion, and gratitude.
As Allah says in the Holy Quran:

“It is neither their meat nor their blood that reaches Allah, but it is your piety that reaches Him.”

May Allah accept our sacrifices, forgive our shortcomings, and bless us all with peace, barakah, and prosperity. 🤍

Wishing you and your loved ones a joyful and blessed Eid ul Azha! 🌙✨

The pH of the Dairy Cows specially Close-up Group monitored every week or after a couple of weeks. The normal ph value of urine is above 7 or we can say that urine is slightly alkaline in nature. But for close-up groups the value of urine pH should be slightly acidic ranging between 5.7-6.2.
??
A urine pH that is acidic can activate the parathyroid gland, leading to an increase in parathyroid hormone (PTH) production. Here's a step-by-step explanation of the mechanism:

1. *Acidic urine*: When the urine pH drops below 5.5, it becomes increasingly acidic.
2. *Increased hydrogen ions*: The acidic environment increases the concentration of hydrogen ions (H+) in the urine.
3. *Activation of renal sensors*: The hydrogen ions bind to specialized sensors in the kidney, called renal sensors, which detect changes in urine pH.
4. *Signaling to the parathyroid gland*: The activated renal sensors send signals to the parathyroid gland, located in the neck, via the bloodstream.
5. *Increased PTH production*: The parathyroid gland responds to the signals by increasing production and secretion of parathyroid hormone (PTH).
6. *PTH stimulates calcium release*: PTH stimulates the release of calcium from bone into the bloodstream, which helps to buffer the acidic urine pH.
7. *Increased calcium levels*: The increased calcium levels in the bloodstream help to neutralize the acidic urine pH.

In summary, acidic urine pH activates the parathyroid gland, leading to increased PTH production. So this will help to avoid metabolic disease like milk fever after parturition.

?

If the Urine pH is alkaline, then we can use (Dietary Cation and Anion Difference). This will help in decreasing the urine pH.

Note: Keep monitoring the urine pH while using Negative DCAD because too much acidic urine will cause further complications like hypocalcemia, bone deformities etc

Heat stress is a common issue in Dairy Cattle especially in exotic breeds that can lead to reduced milk production, decreased fertility, and even death. Here are some key points to consider:

Causes:

- High temperatures (above 25°C/77°F)
- Humidity
- Poor ventilation
- Inadequate cooling systems
- Increased solar radiation

Signs:

- Increased water intake
- Increased respiration rate
- Increased body temperature (above 39°C/102°F)
- Reduced milk production
- Reduced feed intake
- Restlessness
- Panting
- Drooling

Consequences:

- Reduced milk production and quality
- Decreased fertility and reproductive performance
- Increased risk of heat-related illnesses and death
- Economic losses

Prevention and management:

- Provide shade and ventilation
- Use cooling systems (e.g., fans, misters, sprinklers)
- Ensure access to cool water all the time
- Implement heat stress monitoring and early detection systems
- Adjust feeding and management practices (e.g., reduce feed intake, avoid peak heat hours)
- Consider using heat stress-reducing technologies (e.g., cooling vests, evaporative cooling systems)

World Camel Day is June 22, a day that was first celebrated in 2009. During this time of Climate Change, the Camel is one of the most adaptive animals in the world. It can go days without food and water. Camels have been used for thousands of years in Africa and Asia. In the United States, the Camel Corps (1836) was a program by the United States to use Camels in the Southwest.
