Alhamdulillah, today’s press conference regarding the ongoing issue of dog culling was successfully held. We strongly presented our concerns, demands, and point of view before the media regarding the brutal and inhumane killing of stray dogs.
During the press conference, we highlighted that cruelty is not a solution and emphasized the importance of humane and lawful methods such as TNVR (Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate, Release) for stray animal population management. We also spoke about the suffering of innocent animals and the urgent need for authorities to adopt compassionate and sustainable policies instead of violence.
Animal rights activist Afia Khan addressed the media and raised her voice for the protection and welfare of voiceless animals. Animal rights advocate Althamush Saeed also shared his views on humane animal management and strongly condemned cruelty against stray animals. Haider Shah participated in the discussion and supported the demand for ethical and lawful solutions.
Central Secretary Information of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Qaiser Sharif, specially attended the press conference, showed his support, and endorsed our point of view before the media. His presence and support added strength to our message and encouraged the cause of animal welfare and humane policies.
We are thankful to all media representatives, activists, NGOs, and supporters who stood with us and helped amplify the voices of innocent animals.
Together, we will continue this struggle until cruelty ends and humane policies are implemented across Punjab. 🐾
