A 13 years old neglected dog presented at Mercy Pets Care Clinic, Lahore. Eyes were covered with hairs and ocular secretions, after thr removal of hairs dog is diagnosed with Glucoma. Treatment is started. Dorzolamide eye drops are prescribed TiD for 5 days and checkup foe the recovery is recommended.

Question. Is any medicine requires for australian parrot according to weather?
Ans:Thank you Usama for this wonderful question. In the start of the this season, most of the birds have bad immune system due to the environmental stress. For boosting birds immune system you can do following steps. 1. A. Deworm your birds (Use Albendazole or Fenbendazole, Mebandazole) 2. Add Multivitamins in their feed, especially Vit. C (I have attached pictures of easily available birds supplement in market) 3. Add ginger, garlic, green leafy vegetables in feed. 4. Add small worm light bulb in a corner of the cage, and let the birds choose the area according to their temperature needs. 5. Keep birds away from stress. 6. Precautionary measures during Changing weather.
As we know weather is changing rapidly, but there is a great variation in temperature during day and night time. This temperature variation causes "Environmental stress" and leads animals to decreased immunity. So must remember these precautions
1. Decrease bathing frequency of your animals.
2. Don't make frequent use of Antibacterial shampoo or Pyodin scrub (it kills healthy bacteria from skin).
3. Must add vitamins in your pet's food (especially vit. C,A and B.complex). As immune booster and to prevent gums disease.
4. If you (owner) have flu symptoms, you must not sneeze or cough around dogs. They can catch human flu.
5. Use freshly cocked food.
6. Brush your animals regularly.
