Today, on our way to the shelter, we witnessed a scene that shattered us completely.
Seven tiny, weak puppies were lying on a busy traffic road — alone, helpless, and without their mother.

The most horrifying part?
They were so starving that they were eating their own dead sibling just to survive.

When we asked around, we found out the truth.
Their mother was a breed dog who mated with a street dog.
The female was taken away… and these innocent babies were dumped on the road to die.

Is there any cruelty worse than this?

Heavy traffic was passing right over them. One puppy had already been crushed under a car — and the rest, driven by extreme hunger, were forced to eat their sibling.
This was not savagery.
This was starvation.
This was human cruelty.

We cried seeing this scene.
But the people who did this… we honestly don’t even understand if they can still be called human.

Due to lack of food, we had already paused our rescues — but how could we walk away from this?

🚨 URGENT APPEAL 🚨

We urgently need new food bowls for our animals. Almost all the bowls at our shelter are broken—so badly that they have now become unsafe and harmful for the animals. This is something we never wanted to happen, but right now, we desperately need your help.

For animals who have already suffered hunger, neglect, and abandonment, even the smallest basic necessities matter. A safe bowl to eat from is not a luxury — it is dignity, care, and respect.

✨ We just need 150 kind people to donate only Rs. 1,000 ($3.56) each, and we will be able to buy all the required bowls for our animals.

Here’s what we urgently need:
• Dog food bowls: Rs. 500 each × 100
• Puppy bowls: Rs. 400 each × 100
• Cat bowls: Rs. 300 each × 100
• Water thaals: Rs. 1,200 each × 20

These bowls are used multiple times every single day. Without them, feeding becomes unsafe and heartbreaking.

It breaks our hearts that we are sometimes unable to give our animals everything they truly deserve. They never ask for much — just safety, love, and care.

Here’s an update on our two recent critical hit-and-run cases. Both animals were rescued in extremely serious condition and are now under constant medical supervision, receiving ongoing treatment. Della Mama is currently stable, which is a relief, but Bahadur remains in a critical state. The coming days will be crucial for his survival.

The good news is that Bahadur has started eating, which shows his will to fight. Although he still cannot move his body properly, he is trying so hard to survive. We will never give up on him and will do everything possible to help him pull through. Our entire team is putting their hearts into ensuring Bahadur gets a second chance at life 💙

This year tested us in ways words can’t fully explain.
We went through the hardest days — emotionally, physically, financially — and still chose to show up for them.
Through exhaustion, fear, and uncertainty, we somehow managed to give them a life filled with care, dignity, and love… and that was only possible because of you.

In this struggle, we lost many souls — some we feel left us far too soon, before their time.
Each loss broke us in ways we will never forget.
But we tried. We fought. We did everything in our power to save them, even when the odds were cruel.

And then there are the survivors — the bravest ones.
Those who endured pain like storms, who carried trauma in silence, and still chose to live.
Chandni is one of them — a true storm survivor. She endured unbearable pain, yet stood strong, teaching us what resilience truly looks like.

And then there’s Cammie.
The girl who didn’t give up.
Standing tall today on her prosthetic leg — Pakistan’s first animal prosthetic — she is not just a survivor, she is history in the making.
Cammie carries our tears, our prayers, and our hope. She reminds us why we keep going.

As we step into the new year, we carry every smile we made happen, every soul we lost, and every life that fought to stay.
Thank you for believing in them. Thank you for standing with us.

An apology for the hunger they were forced to normalize, for the nights spent shivering in fear, for the hands that caused pain instead of protection 💔

They would tell us about the terror they learned to live with in silence, the wounds their bodies never forgot, and the trust that was shattered before they ever knew what love was meant to feel like.

They endure abandonment, cruelty, and loss — yet somehow, they still choose gentleness.
Still wag their tails.
Still believe.

They ask for so little, after being denied everything.
And if they could speak, they wouldn’t ask for revenge… only for kindness, safety, and a chance to be loved 🐾🥺💔

CDRS saved us and gave us another chance at life.

Cammie and Callie soaking up their Sunday ✨
Cammie’s prosthetic tells a story — of resilience, healing, and a life that refused to give up. Seeing her move, play, and simply exist in joy is a reminder that broken beginnings can still lead to beautiful futures.

Sorry for not being very active lately — Sheema is still not well. But InShaALLAH, she’ll be coming back tomorrow, and we’ll be fully active again with regular updates 🤍

Meanwhile, please don’t forget our babies. With rain predicted and winter approaching, we urgently need blankets, tarpaulins, and toddler shirts. These essentials mean warmth, safety, and survival for animals who have nothing else.

This is a small but extremely important message from our shelter manager, who is very unwell, yet chose to speak because you deserve to know what we face every day.

Due to severe shortages, we have paused rescues and are only taking cases we absolutely cannot refuse. Our animals are already struggling to receive their full daily food, and we refuse to compromise the lives in our care.

Winter has increased our burden. We spend up to PKR 50,000($178.44) every month on blankets. Our food bowls need urgent replacement (PKR 100,000), ($356.89)and we need cat cages for treatment & isolation (PKR 100,000) ($356.89) The shelter also requires fumigation — the medicine costs PKR 16,500 ($58.89) per bottle × 6 = PKR 99,000 ($353.32).

We are also struggling with pending clinic bills of PKR 300,000($1070.66) for major surgeries, as we lack proper OT and post-op facilities. Toys are essential for rehabilitation, and a PKR 10,000($35.69) monthly sponsorship can help traumatized animals heal.

Some sponsors have backed out, and the pressure has taken a serious toll on our shelter manager’s health — she put the animals before herself.

We desperately need your help. Even PKR 1,000 ($3.57) or whatever you can give, can make a difference. Sponsorships directly secure food, medicine, and survival.

We are also receiving urgent owl rescue requests, but without an enclosure. Building one will cost around PKR 400,000($1427.55), yet these lives cannot be ignored.

Please help us help them.
