History : c**k is bitten by a dog have wound and maggots on it
Rx : remove the maggots with forceps and apply magkill on it or turpentine oil on it and hydrogen peroxide on it clean the wound with pyodine and apply dry pencillin at the end and continuously moniter the wound

could be one of many issues but the major issue would be parasites. External parasites such as lice ,mites and mange lead to hair loss in some or all areas (alopecia) .

Differential diagnosis

Infectious disease , internal parasitic infestation , mineral deficiency (more especially zinc), Vitamins A deficiency amongst others.

Lice will be identified by cattle rubbing against rough objects to scratch Infested area.

Treatment

As always is always better than cure.

●Improve diets with high quality legume
●Provide Vit A or Multivitamin supplement
●Provide Trace element supplement
●Adminsiter anthelmentics (Deworm)
● Administer antiparasitic drugs such as ivermectin or pour on dip such as delete or deadline
●Topical antimicrobial therapy rules out bacterial and yeast infections
