The earliest archeological evidence for a dominant position of wine-making in human culture dates from 8,000 years ago in Georgia. The state of Rajasthan (India) developed “Grapes Valley” there and they cultivated grapes at a larg

e scale. The boundary of Cholistan is annex with Rajasthan so it has same soil and climatic conditions. Keeping in view their success story regarding grapes valley, our Government (Govt. of Punjab) declared our region that consist of three districts (Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan) as a “Cholistan Grapes Valley”. The early maturing varieties (Pre Moon Soon) are successfully cultivating in the Cholistan zone. Which are “King's Ruby, Thompson Seedless, Perlette, Flame Seedless, Crimson Red, Narc Black, Summer Royal, Autumn Royal, Black Emerald”. We privately a team of “Entrepreneur Farmers” start this community forum ( page & Group) for the awareness of our farmers about the viticulture in our Cholistan zone to learn, to teach, to share your experience with all our community of young, progressive farmers. Our page is “Pioneer” in spreading the awareness about viticulture in Cholistan Zone.
