Would your pet or livestock be safe if a disaster struck and your family needs to evacuate?
Have them off-leashed, uncaged or bring them with you.
1️⃣MAKE A PLAN.
a. Secure your pet/livestock identification (pet collar or have them microchipped, ear tags or tattoo for livestock)
b. Identify where is the evacuation center.
c. Familiarized your pet putting in a cage or leashed, for livestock have them ready to ride a truck.
d. Keep their health status up. Keep their vaccinations updated.
2️⃣MAKE YOUR PET KIT.
a. Food and water
b. Pet documents (health cards), livestock inventory
c. Vitamins and medications including first aid kit
d. Muzzle
e. Your photo together with your pet, livestock
3️⃣PROTECT YOUR PET/LIVESTOCK
a. Stay informed about the weather
b. Know when to evacuate
c. Have authorities contact numbers and emergency hotlines
d. Keep them indoors if not, have them off leashed or uncaged
e. At evacuation center, keep an eye to your pet, see to it that they can't harm others
