Would your pet or livestock be safe if a disaster struck and your family needs to evacuate?
Have them off-leashed, uncaged or bring them with you.

1️⃣MAKE A PLAN.
a. Secure your pet/livestock identification (pet collar or have them microchipped, ear tags or tattoo for livestock)
b. Identify where is the evacuation center.
c. Familiarized your pet putting in a cage or leashed, for livestock have them ready to ride a truck.
d. Keep their health status up. Keep their vaccinations updated.

2️⃣MAKE YOUR PET KIT.
a. Food and water
b. Pet documents (health cards), livestock inventory
c. Vitamins and medications including first aid kit
d. Muzzle
e. Your photo together with your pet, livestock

3️⃣PROTECT YOUR PET/LIVESTOCK
a. Stay informed about the weather
b. Know when to evacuate
c. Have authorities contact numbers and emergency hotlines
d. Keep them indoors if not, have them off leashed or uncaged
e. At evacuation center, keep an eye to your pet, see to it that they can't harm others

Dr G's WAYS TO KEEP YOUR PETS COOL THIS SUMMER ☀️🐶🐱

1 - BRING THEM INDOORS. Hottest part of the day is typically between 11AM and 2PM
2 - MAKE SURE THEY HAVE ACCESS TO WATER. Keep them hydrated
3 - PROPERLY GROOM YOUR PETS. Summer cut, bathing and frequent brushing their coat keep them cool
4 - AVOID HOT PAVEMENT. Avoid taking them outside during the hottest part of the day
5 - NEVER LEAVE YOUR PET IN A CAR. Leaving your pet in a vehicle is dangerous even if it's only for a few minutes.
6 - KNOW THE SIGNS OF OVERHEATING. Early intervention can prevent death for heatstroke
SYMPTOMS INCLUDES:
* Excessive thirst
* Excessive panting
* Rapid heartbeat
* Purple tongue
* Seizure
* Unconsciousness

Paano?
Kapag nagpakita na ang nakagat ng a*o o pusa ng sintomas ng RABIES, wala na itong lunas.
Ang RABIES ay maiiwasan sa pamamagitan ng pagpapabakuna sa animal bite center kapag nakagat ng a*o o pusa.
Ang pinakamurang pamamaraan para maiwasan ang paglaganap ng RABIES ay ang pagpapabakuna ng inyong mga alagang a*o at pusa.

Makiisa po tayo sa mga programa kontra RABIES.

If you can't be a responsible pet owner, huwag mo nang isipin na mag alaga ng a*o o pusa.
