🐾 BAHA CONGRESS | August 18, 2026 🐾

Our 16 Talisay City BAHA volunteers attended the BAHA Congress held at the IEC Convention Center, Mabolo, Cebu City.

The event featured informative lectures, new learnings, and valuable experiences focused on livestock, biosecurity, disease prevention, feeds and veterinary medicines, and shipping regulations. 📚🐄🐖🐓💊

We are truly thankful to the Cebu Provincial Government, through the Provincial Veterinary Office (PVO), for hosting this meaningful and informative event.

It was a wonderful opportunity for our BAHA volunteers to learn, connect, and strengthen their knowledge and skills in serving our communities. 💙🐾

🐶📚 August 18, 2026 | Rabies IEC

A Rabies Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) Session was conducted at Lawaan III National High School to promote awareness on rabies prevention and responsible pet ownership.

Learners were reminded to wash animal bite or scratch wounds immediately with soap and running water and seek medical attention promptly.

Thank you to the school administration, teachers, and students for your warm welcome and active participation! 💙🐾

📣 AKSYON AGAD: BARANGAY VISIT 🐾

On August 13, 2026, the City Veterinary Office, in partnership with various city offices, brought its veterinary services to Barangay Jaclupan through the Aksyon Agad Barangay Visit. The activity aimed to provide accessible veterinary care while promoting responsible pet ownership and strengthening rabies prevention efforts in the community.

🐖 ASF Awareness and Biosecurity IEC for Farmers

📍 Barangays Dumlog and Biasong, Talisay City

The City Veterinary Office (CVO), in collaboration with the City Agriculture Office (CAO), conducted an IEC session for farmers on African Swine Fever (ASF) awareness, prevention, and biosecurity.

Farmers were oriented on recognizing ASF signs and symptoms, practicing proper biosecurity, preventing disease transmission, and promptly reporting suspected cases.

Qualified farmers were also assisted in enrolling in the agricultural insurance program to help protect their livelihoods against livestock-related risks.

Together, let us stay vigilant, practice proper biosecurity, and keep Talisay City ASF-free! 🐖💙

August 11, 2026 | Rabies IEC at Tapul Elementary School 🐶📚

Today, August 11, 2026, a Rabies Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) Session was conducted at Tapul Elementary School to raise awareness among learners about rabies prevention and responsible pet ownership.

The session emphasized the importance of immediately washing animal bite or scratch wounds with soap and running water and seeking medical attention as soon as possible. Through an engaging and interactive discussion, students learned practical ways to protect themselves, their families, and their pets from rabies.

On August 4, 2026, a Rabies Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) Session was successfully conducted at San Isidro Elementary School.

The activity aimed to educate learners on rabies prevention, responsible pet ownership, and the importance of immediately washing bite or scratch wounds with soap and water and seeking medical attention. Through interactive discussions, students gained valuable knowledge on protecting themselves, their families, and their pets from rabies.
