Lil Baggy was presented at the clinic with watery stool, anorexia, and vomiting. This one-year-old cat has not received deworming or a vaccination against common viruses. Feline panleukopenia virus, commonly referred to as feline parvovirus, was detected in Lil Baggy's stool (test kit).
Feline panleukopenia (also called feline distemper) is a highly contagious, potentially fatal disease of cats caused by the feline panleukopenia virus (FPV, also called feline parvovirus).
Because FPV is everywhere in the environment, almost all kittens and cats are exposed to it at some point in their lives. Although cats of any age may catch the virus, young kittens, sick cats, and unvaccinated cats are most likely to become ill.
Infected cats can pass FPV in their f***s (stool) and body fluids like urine and nasal secretions. Susceptible cats may become infected when they contact these substances, the infected cats themselves, or even fleas from infected cats. Infected, pregnant cats can also pass the virus to their unborn kittens.(avma.org)

This 3-year-old female cat named 'Luffita' underwent ovariohysterectomy (OVH) due to pyometra. Luffita was presented at the clinic with an enlarged abdomen & lethargy. CBC results showed leukocytosis and anemia. Ultrasound revealed a distended uterine cavity filled with fluids (Pyometra).
Pyometra is a condition where the uterus becomes infected with bacteria, leading to a build-up of pus. The primary treatment is emergency surgery (ovariohysterectomy) to remove the infected uterus.
Ovariohysterectomy, commonly known as a "spay," is a surgical procedure that involves the removal of both the uterus and ovaries from a female animal to prevent pregnancy and other reproductive-related health issues.

Five-year-old labrador Leo visited the clinic to get vaccinated.
Leo exhibited pale mucous membranes and dyspnea(difficult breathing) when examined physically. Despite his appetite, Leo has been losing weight since September, according to his owner. There were also reports of bloody stools. The results of CBC revealed severe anemia (⬇️ RBC, Hb, HCT) and severe thrombocytopenia (⬇️ platelet). Following his third epoetin injection and his oral meds, Leo has significantly better (dyspnea & bloody stool have disappeared).
