PET CANCER TIP 💜

Did you know that a tumor’s grade and stage are two of the most important factors in planning your pet’s treatment?

✔️ Tumor Grade tells us how aggressive the cancer cells are.

✔️ Tumor Stage tells us how far the cancer has spread.

Knowing both helps your veterinarian recommend the most appropriate treatment plan and gives you a better understanding of your pet’s prognosis.

Early diagnosis and proper staging can make a significant difference in your pet’s quality of life.

Chappie, an 11-year-old female dog, was presented for a second-opinion consultation due to a chronic non-healing wound affecting the left forelimb. The patient had previously undergone two surgical procedures; however, persistent tissue proliferation and lesion recurrence were noted despite prior interventions.

The owner had also observed the recent development and progressive enlargement of a cervical mass on the left side of the neck. During consultation and physical examination, a mammary gland mass was likewise identified.

Driven by a deep commitment to providing Chappie with the best possible care, the owner sought a second opinion despite the considerable distance required to reach our facility.

Fast forward to surgery day.

After several hours of meticulous surgical intervention, Chappie successfully underwent surgery. Multiple masses, including the forelimb lesion, cervical mass, and mammary gland mass, were successfully excised without major complications.

Chappie’s case is a testament to the power of perseverance, the importance of seeking answers, and the extraordinary lengths loving owners will go to for the well-being of their beloved companions. 🐾💜

Ming, a 14-year-old feline patient, was referred to our clinic after being diagnosed with high-grade mammary gland carcinoma last April, 2026.

She recently underwent her first chemotherapy session with us last week and we’re happy to share that the treatment was well tolerated, with no adverse effects observed at this time. According to her owner, Ming continues to maintain a stable appetite, activity level, and overall demeanor.

Our team will continue with her scheduled chemotherapy sessions and close monitoring as part of her ongoing cancer management.

Please join us in sending Ming strength and comfort as she continues her fight. 💜🐱
