A PICTURE THAT YOU CAN SMELL
Yes, it is PARVO!
To all furparents, youโve definitely seen this mess before and probably the smell too ๐ฉ๐
Here it is again, your friendly reminder, especially this rainy season.
๐ What is Canine Parvovirus (CPV)?
Parvo is a highly contagious viral illness affecting dogs, especially puppies under 6 months or unvaccinated dogs. It attacks the gastrointestinal tract, leading to severe symptoms.
๐ฆ Symptoms to Watch For:
โข Severe vomiting
โข Bloody, foul-smelling diarrhea
โข Lethargy
โข Loss of appetite
โข Fever or low body temperature
โข Rapid dehydration
๐ Prevention:
โข Vaccination is the number one defense (starting at 6โ8 weeks old, then boosters).
โข Avoid exposing puppies to unknown dogs or public places until fully vaccinated.
โข Disinfect with bleach-based solutions (Parvo is very resistant in the environment).
๐ Where Parvo Lingers:
โข Soil, kennels, shoes, bowls, and hands can carry the virus.
โข The virus can survive months in the environment.
Si Bantay ay gala sa kanto, ang saya,
Kaso dumila ng tae, hala ka na!
Kinabukasan, ayun na nga!
Sumuka, nagtatae, walang gana!
Kung ayaw mong s**a at duguang pupu,
Magpa-bakuna, huwag wag kang magbigay ng nano
Ang Parvoโy di biro, ubos ang energy,
Pati wallet ni furmommy, mauubos din surely!
