1. Keep pets indoors – Avoid letting them roam outside where strong winds and floods may pose serious danger.
2. Provide a safe and warm space – Ensure they have a comfortable area to stay, away from leaking roofs or open windows.
3. Stock up on essentials – Make sure your pets have enough food and clean water for the duration of the storm.
4. Comfort anxious pets – Loud winds and heavy rain can make pets nervous. Gentle reassurance, toys, or a familiar blanket can help ease their stress.
5. Monitor for health concerns – Observe for any signs of distress, unusual behavior, or injury. Contact your veterinarian immediately if needed.
6. Avoid outdoor hazards – Stay away from flooded areas, strong currents, and fallen debris which can be dangerous for both pets and humans.

Yes, it is PARVO!

To all furparents, you’ve definitely seen this mess before and probably the smell too 💩👃

Here it is again, your friendly reminder, especially this rainy season.

📌 What is Canine Parvovirus (CPV)?
Parvo is a highly contagious viral illness affecting dogs, especially puppies under 6 months or unvaccinated dogs. It attacks the gastrointestinal tract, leading to severe symptoms.

🦠 Symptoms to Watch For:
• Severe vomiting
• Bloody, foul-smelling diarrhea
• Lethargy
• Loss of appetite
• Fever or low body temperature
• Rapid dehydration

💉 Prevention:
• Vaccination is the number one defense (starting at 6–8 weeks old, then boosters).
• Avoid exposing puppies to unknown dogs or public places until fully vaccinated.
• Disinfect with bleach-based solutions (Parvo is very resistant in the environment).

📍 Where Parvo Lingers:
• Soil, kennels, shoes, bowls, and hands can carry the virus.
• The virus can survive months in the environment.

The scheduled power interruption affecting parts of CAGELCO I (Carig, Caritan, Solana and Piat Substations) and KAELCO (Tabuk Substation) on 4 July 2024 is rescheduled due to request of DepEd Tabuk City and planned activities of schools and universities in Cagayan and Kalinga.

The new schedule will be on 5 July 2024, 7:00AM – 6:00PM.

A cute, black, male Shihtzu wearing blue collar and leash is currently contained here in Bulanao Veterinary Clinic found by Ms. Yerrie Ruiz along Purok 6, Bulanao, National Highway.
