Hi mga Ka Zoophilist
As part of the celebration of the 59th Araw ng Davao del Sur, one of the meaningful activities initiated by our Provincial Government under the leadership of our Provincial Governor Hon.Yvonne Roña Cagas , together with the Provincial Veterinary Office-Davao del Sur headed by Doc Cath Erine , in partnership with Zoophilist Animal Rescue Group ,was feeding activity for our stray dogs and cats in Barangay Dawis and Barangay Aplaya.
Although feeding alone does not reduce the population of stray animals, it is still a meaningful act of compassion. For many of these dogs and cats, a full meal is something they rarely experience. Seeing them wag their tails, eat with excitement, and enjoy even a few moments of comfort brought so much happiness to everyone present.
The activity was also truly fulfilling for the volunteers of Zoophilist Animal Rescue Group. Knowing that we were able to ease the hunger of these innocent animals, even for a day, reminded us why we continue this mission. Their happiness became our happiness, and every grateful look and wagging tail made all the effort worthwhile.
As we continue to care for our stray animals, we also encourage responsible pet ownership, regular spaying and neutering, and community cooperation as the long-term and humane solution to reducing the stray animal population.
Together, through kindness, compassion, and teamwork, we can build a community where every animal is valued and cared for. Every meal shared, every act of love, and every helping hand makes a difference.
I hope this inspires more people to show kindness and support responsible pet ownership.
