๐พ When every step hurts, even the simplest walk can become a challenge.
This 7-year-old Yorkshire Terrier visited our clinic due to acute left hindlimb lameness. After a thorough examination and radiographic assessment, we discovered that the femoral head (the "ball" portion of the hip joint) was displaced from its normal position, causing pain and difficulty walking.
๐ฉบ To help restore comfort and mobility, a Femoral Head Ostectomy (FHO) surgery was performed. This procedure is commonly recommended in cases where the hip joint can no longer function normally and comfortably.
โค๏ธ Thanks to timely surgical intervention, proper pain management, rehabilitation, and lots of TLC at home, this brave patient regained normal use of the affected limb and is now enjoying a pain-free, active life once again.
Limping is never something to ignore. Whether it appears suddenly or develops gradually, it can be a sign of an underlying orthopedic problem that may worsen over time if left untreated.

If your pet is showing signs of lameness, difficulty standing, reluctance to walk, or changes in activity level, have them evaluated as soon as possible. Early diagnosis and treatment can make a significant difference in their recovery and quality of life.
