๐ถ๐ Meet Ngiti: A Warrior at 11 Years Old!๐๐ถ
This sweet senior girl, **Ngiti**, recently came to us looking a bit weaker than usual. Her fur parents noticed she had lost some of her appetite and was starting to have **vaginal discharge**โa red flag for many female dogs, especially those unspayed.
After careful examination, we diagnosed Ngiti with Pyometraโa serious and potentially life-threatening infection of the uterus common in older, unspayed female dogs. Immediate action was needed.
Ngiti bravely underwent emergency surgery to remove the infected uterus. ๐๐ฉบ But due to her age and condition, she needed 3 days of confinement and kidney flushing to support her recovery and keep her vital organs stable. It was a tough journeyโbut she pulled through like a true champ! ๐ช๐พ
Today, Ngiti is on her way to full recovery. She's eating better, more alert, and wagging that tail again. ๐โจ
๐ **What we can all learn from Ngiti's story**:
Pyometra is a silent danger for unspayed females, and it can happen at any ageโbut especially in senior dogs. Spaying not only prevents this life-threatening condition, but also helps our furry friends live longer, healthier lives.
Let Ngitiโs journey be a reminder to stay alert to changes in your petโs behaviorโeven subtle onesโand to act fast when something doesnโt seem right.
๐ Sending all our love and belly rubs to brave Ngiti!
