🐶🐶A case of Pyometra: ✅Note the difference in the size of a normal uterus(picture) compared with PYOMETRA (video)where the uterus becomes inflamed and distended with bacteria and pus. ✅Pyometra is a serious and life threatening infection in the Uterus.
✅Its signs includes Loss of appetite, Lethargy,sometimes Vomiting and Diarrhea,Vaginal discharges (open type),Distended Abdomen( close type), increased thirst and urination. ✅Diagnosis is based on presenting signs, Blood examination( elevated White blood cells),ultrasound or xray. ✅The preferred treatment is ovariohysterectomy(spaying). Hospitalization and Intravenous fluid is needed to stabilize the patient and Aggressive treatment with Antibiotic is required. ✅Prevention: Neutering
