🐾✨ STARLA’S STORY: A BRAVE MAMA ✨🐾

Starla, a 5-year-old American Bully, underwent an emergency cesarean section with us after complications during labor. This pregnancy was unplanned, as a male Beagle accidentally mated with her at home, leading to difficulty in normal delivery due to size mismatch.

Out of 9 puppies, 6 survived 🐶💞true little fighters alongside their strong mom.

During surgery, our veterinarian discovered uterine adhesions (scar tissue from her previous C-section). These adhesions can cause organs to stick together, making surgery more difficult, increasing bleeding risk, and preventing the uterus from functioning properly during labor.

Because of this, the safest and most responsible decision was to proceed with spaying (ovariohysterectomy) to prevent future life-threatening complications.

👨‍⚕️ Why this matters:
• Adhesions increase risk in every future surgery
• Can lead to difficult or failed labor (dystocia)
• Higher chance of internal injury and complications
• Future pregnancies could be life-threatening

📌 Important reminder:
Accidental mating at home can happen, but it can also lead to serious health risks, especially with size differences. Proper supervision and timely spaying are key to protecting your pets.
