Alaga is a brand of pet supplies handcrafted with care by Filipino craftsmen, so our animal companions can feel even more at home.

We are a small company that tries to source fairly by bringing business to whoever needs it most. Alaga was born of owner Alice Sarmiento's work as a foster parent for the Philippine Animal Welfare Society, which meant constantly opening her home to tiny kittens and sickly cats who were too vulnerable to be out on the streets. he designs are not only a way to make her foster pets feel more at ease in their new environment, they provide livelihood for the small businesses that need it most.

We would give anything to have Eggy back, but we are grateful all the same for the community that came together for him. We also received a few inquiries about donations, which we appreciate very much, but had to turn down as an online store.

It saddens us to announce the passing of a family member. With his underlying health issues, Eggy was always one of our more difficult rescues; but the love and companionship he gave in return made every challenge worthwhile.

The past week however was too much for his little body, and today he finally crossed the rainbow bridge to rest in love forever.

We love you so much, Eggy.
