Pinahahalagahan ng Meralco ang feedback ng aming mga customer at nagsisilbi itong gabay sa aming pagsusumikap na makapaghatid ng maayos na serbisyo.

Sa aming narinig mula sa mga apektadong customer nitong reimposition ng bill deposit na humigit-kumulang ay 20,000 sa kabuuang 8.3 milyon na mga customer, dapat ay may sapat na palugit na kailangan ibigay at mas malinaw na impormasyon.

Dahil dito, minabuti namin na ipagpaliban muna ang pagpapatupad nito at sa halip ay hihingi kami ng pahintulot mula sa ERC na kung maaari ay sa susunod na taon na ito gawin. Kasama rito ang anim na buwang installment scheme, at ang bill deposit ay ilalagay bilang hiwalay na line item sa kanilang bills.

Para naman sa mga nagbayad na ng buo ng bill deposit portion, ito ay aming ike-credit sa kanilang susunod na bills.

Nawa ay makatulong kami kahit paano sa hakbang na ito sa aming mga customer.

PROTECT SOCOTECO II GROUP CALLS FOR DILG INQUIRY INTO PLEBISCITE INVOLVING PACQUIAO-BACKED IGNITE POWER

The Protect SOCOTECO II Coalition has urged DILG Region XII to look into alleged irregularities involving barangay officials during the plebiscite on SOCOTECO II’s proposed agreement with Pacquiao-backed Ignite Power. The allegations include unauthorized proxy collection, possible inducements and the use of government resources to sway member-consumers.

SOCOTECO II rules allow proxy voting when supported by notarized authorizations and proper identification. The key issues are whether members gave their consent freely, whether required safeguards were observed and whether public officials improperly influenced the voting process.

A formal DILG investigation has not been independently confirmed, and the allegations remain unproven. Still, the concerns call for timely fact-finding and appropriate action if violations are established. Member-consumer-owners have the right to clear information and an independent voice in deciding the cooperative’s future.

MVP-led Meralco Pinapalakas ang Power Facilities sa Batangas Para Suportahan ang Paglago ng Ekonomiya

MVP-led Meralco is strengthening its power facilities in Batangas as the province continues to grow as an industrial, commercial, and economic hub. For residents, this can mean more reliable electricity at home, fewer service interruptions, better voltage quality, and a power system that can support more jobs, businesses, and public services in their communities.

Ayon sa ulat, bahagi nito ang Pallocan West Substation, ang unang smart substation ng Batangas City na gumagamit ng gas-insulated switchgear o GIS.

Sabi ni Meralco Senior Vice President Atty. Arnel Casanova, kailangan ang ganitong investment para matugunan ang lumalaking demand sa kuryente at masiguro ang safe, reliable, at tuloy-tuloy na serbisyo.

Habang lumalaki ang ekonomiya ng Batangas, kailangan ding sumabay ang power infrastructure.

Hindi na lang residential province ang Batangas. Malaki ang papel nito sa ports, logistics, manufacturing, tourism, housing, at industrial development. Habang dumadami ang negosyo, factories, warehouses, malls, at communities, tumataas din ang demand sa kuryente.

Kapag hindi na-upgrade ang distribution system, doon nagsisimula ang problema: overloaded lines, voltage issues, service interruptions, at mabagal na response kapag may aberya.

Kaya mahalaga ang pag-modernize ng power facilities. Hindi lang ito tungkol sa poste, linya, o substation. Ito ay tungkol sa kakayahan ng isang growing province na suportahan ang mas maraming negosyo, trabaho, investments, at communities.

Valid pa rin ang tanong ng consumers tungkol sa mahal na singil sa kuryente. Dapat malinaw kung magkano ang investment, saan ito napupunta, paano ito irerecover, at ano ang tunay na benepisyo sa customers.

Pero hindi rin puwedeng balewalain ang pangangailangan ng Batangas para sa mas matibay at mas modernong power system.
Kung maayos ang implementation, ang investment ng Meralco sa Batangas should mean better power quality, fewer service problems, faster response, and a distribution network that can keep up with the province’s growth.

Sa dulo, ang dapat makita ng consumers ay malinaw: mas maaasahang kuryente, mas maayos na serbisyo, at power facilities na kayang sumabay sa paglago ng ekonomiya.
