The Municipal Agriculturist Office of President Roxas, Capiz conducted monitoring and field validation on plantings and extent of losses to crops caused by flooding due to Tropical Depression Bising in Brgy. Manoling.

Also, the Team holds a meeting with corn farmers of Brgy. Cubay to address some questions, issues, and concerns of the said farmers within their community related to programs implemented of the office under Local Government Unit of President Roxas.

Other services like farm advisory and giving of vegetable seeds were also rendered.

As part of the functions of Municipal Agriculturist Office of President Roxas, Capiz, the office conducted assessment on established Temporary Shelter for stray cats within Feliciano Yusay Consing National High School (FYCNHS) premises. This initiative of the school Principal MR. RONILU B. TU, is to manage the welfare of both stray cats within the school premises and the students. Special thanks to MS. ETHYL DAWN M. CORVERA, animal welfare advocate, for accompanying the office in the said inspection to ensure safety and welfare of the said animals.

The Municipal Agriculturist Office of President Roxas, Capiz together with the augmentation team from the Office of the Provincial Veterinarian (OPVet) conducted Mass Rabies Vaccination (MRV) in Brgy. Goce, President Roxas, Capiz. A total of 69 dogs received a shot of anti-rabies vaccine.

This is in response to the reported dog bite incidence in the said Barangay as a preventive measure to allay the growing concern of Barangay authorities regarding the spread of rabies.

Ongoing Digital Financial Literacy Training organized by LANDBANK Countryside Development Foundation, Inc. (LCDFI) in partnership with the Local Government Unit of President Roxas headed by HON. RECELISTE L. ESCOLIN, Municipal Mayor. Participants are Farmers Associations, Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Cooperatives, with existing enterprises, Individual Local Farmers, and Local Entrepreneurs in the municipality of President Roxas.

On-site delivery of 4WD Tractor with implements to VICS Corn Cluster Association compose of corn farmers from Vizcaya, Ibaca, Culilang, and Sto. Niño headed by their association Chairperson, MS. Babylyn Lauderes Tamayo. The said equipment is under the Corn Mechanization Program of the Department of Agriculture - Regional Field Office 6 (DA-RFO6). This will serve an approximate 85 hectares of Corn from across its four Barangays covered by the association's membership.

This is a part of the Local Government Unit's ongoing efforts headed by Hon. Receliste Lachica Escolin to enhance farm mechanization, with the goal of reducing production costs while increasing yield for our local farmers in President Roxas.
