🌾Timothy Hay (or Timothy Pellets) VS Alfalfa hay. 🌾

Timothy Hay provides the high fiber your rabbit needs for proper digestion and dental health. Its coarse texture helps wear down their teeth naturally, preventing overgrowth and expensive vet visits. It is low in calories and high in fiber which is wonderful!

Alfalfa, on the other hand, is too rich in protein and calcium for adult Holland Lops. Continued feeding of Alfalfa can lead to obesity and urinary issues such as bladder sludge, and stones. You may not even realize it happening until it's to late. It is better to only give Alfalfa as a treat.

Alfalfa can be appropriate for young kits, nursing does, or rabbits with specific dietary needs under the guidance of an experienced vet. For healthy adults, it’s simply not suitable as a daily staple.

Here we do not feed Alfalfa at all.
