Impounding is a death sentence for a cat. They only have a mere 3 days to get adopted or rescued, if not, they are killed. And for most of them, this is their sad ending - A life cut short.
There have been many reports of cats in pounds suffering from thirst, starvation, and neglect, cramped in filthy cages in the final moments of their unfortunate lives.
It doesn't have to be this way. YOU CAN SAVE THEM. Don't let them suffer this fate.
➡️ WHAT YOU CAN DO
🗣 Advocate for Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) in your community. Many communities have had successful TNR and community cat programs that have given cats their chance to live their lives alongside their human co-residents, in mutual benefit and companionship. Impounding cats in the neighborhood also creates The Vacuum Effect, where new, stray cats that aren't spayed or neutered yet settle in the community to fill the void - and the vicious cycle of impounding goes on. With TNR, our communities are big enough to share with our feline friends. After all, the world is a better place with cats, wouldn't you agree?😻
🙋🏻♂️🙋🏻♀️ BE A VOLUNTEER. Be one of us! Meet the cats, be their friend and protector, go out and feed them with us, help us catch them for their scheduled spay/neuter, use your photography skills to take pictures of our adoptable kitties and help them find the loving families that they deserve - There's a lot you can do! There are too many cats and too few volunteers. WE NEED YOU!🫵
👍❤️ Like, share, and follow pages of animal rights advocates, rescue groups, and community cat groups. Support cat groups like us who advocate for and take care of the cats.
📲 Donate if you can. Our volunteers fund the cost of the cats' food and spay/neuter operations out of our own pockets, and it's a burden too heavy for us to carry on our own shoulders alone - There's just too many cats and too few volunteers. With your help, we can turn this around. You can help us feed the cats or get them spayed/neutered and vaccinated by donating.
