Stray Love Ph is an active animal rescue org that was put up primarily to save the lives of stray dogs and cats that are classified “emergencies” and languish in the streets of Metro Manila and the nearby provinces within the Calabarzon and Central Luzon Regions. The org also dedicates its time to rescuing and easing the plight of an

imals that are sick, maimed, neglected, abandoned and abused. Stray Love Ph has been instrumental in saving hundreds of dog and cat lives from being euthanized at the City Pounds of Zamboanga and Metro Manila! The org has also managed to rescue several illegally detained Macaques in Mandaluyong, Batangas and Clark with the help of the DENR rescue team! In the aftermath of the deadly Taal Volcano eruption last January, Stray Love Ph managed to rescue several horses who were about to be sold by their owners to horse meat traders when they realized that these animals who have provided them their main source of income for years, would no longer be of any use to them. Aside from the horses who are now enjoying their lives in the farms of their new owners, the Stray Love Ph Team also rescued several animals (dogs, cats, ducks, chickens & a monkey) in different parts of Batangas that were hard hit by the eruption. While most of these animals have been reunited with their owners, those that have been not been claimed are in the care of a private shelter whose needs are being financed by the organization thru the help of donors. To date, Stray Love Ph has come to the aid of animal emergency cases not only in Metro Manila and parts of Luzon, but also, in Zamboanga, Ilo-Ilo and Cebu. It is the aim of Stray Love Ph to evoke an awareness in people on the plight of the suffering voiceless! To encourage them not to turn a blind eye to dogs and cats they see wasting away in the streets. The Stray Love Ph Team dreams of spreading viral love and compassion campaigns so more people will want to donate to this worthwhile endeavor of saving the lives of these voiceless and oftentimes helpless creatures. Stray Love Ph has started promoting Spay and Neuter Campaigns to Barangays and LGUs, as well as campaigning against Animal Cruelty & Irresponsible Ownership!

THANK YOU, COGNIZANT PHILS!

Yesterday, we had the wonderful opportunity to join Cognizant Philippines’ Family Fair Fun Run held at Bridgetowne, Pasig City.

From the center island of EDSA, where she was found weak and helpless, to our shelter where she now roams free and happy - Esa, who in all probability is a Belgian Malinois mix, is both friendly and trusting—a sweet soul who loves life’s simple quirks like watching in awe at water gushing out from a running faucet and trying to gulp down as much water as she can😆❤️

This adorable and gentle giant is in a safe and loving environment now, but we need a loving hand to help us with her expenses along the way. 🌸

There is a magical power in love that heals the broken. The broken in mind, body and spirit.

And the transformation that takes place is not just awe inspiring. It gives us Animal Advocates a sense of clarity. A renewed sense of purpose - understanding exactly why we are here -doing what we do.
Arya contracted distemper because her irresponsible owner never took her to the Vet for the necessary vaccines. Not being used to life outside the 4 corners of her former home - add to that her weakened condition because of the debilitating effects of her distemper virus, her sudden exposure to the punishing elements - we can only imagine the despair, the fear Arya felt in those moments of being alone to fend for herself. Scrounging in dumpsters to quiet the hunger pangs and drinking from filthy canals to quench her thirst. How miserable she must have been.

And then one day, owing to her feeble mind and body, she didn't have the strength to dodge a speeding vehicle. Arya suffered a fractured mandible and a broken pelvis. Her features had collapsed into the grotesque mask of rot. We honestly did not think she would pull through.

Our rescuer Jan francis Rivares happened to pass by the street Arya lay helplessly in -waiting for death to claim her.
But, her time in this world was not yet up.

We immediately instructed Francis to rush her to a Vet so she could get the emergency care she badly needed.

When she had stabilized, our good friends Paolo and Micha Vitug had her transferred to a much better Vet clinic with complete facilities. Through the help of aggressive treatments and the love and devotion showered her by Paolo and Micha - who eventually adopted dear Arya, a miracle took place. Arya's severe twitchings were significantly reduced, her fractures healed completely, her frail, skeletal frame has been filled with chunky flesh, her sparse hair now is a thick beautiful coat of white and a deep brown.

And oh,what a delight it is to see her do the zoomies with her fur siblings.In fact, her sibbies - maybe sensing her nightmarish past - allow her to take the lead and she basks in being the alpha dog.😂

This is what love does. It heals the broken. It gives hope to the despairing.

And when hope is reborn, a beautiful almost magical transformation takes place. Let Arya's before & after photos show you how far she has come❤

Jeff is one of our sweetest rescues at the shelter. With his calm and gentle demeanor, he easily wins the hearts of everyone he meets.

When we rescued him from the streets, he was treated for all his health issues and neutered before being discharged from the clinic. That’s why it came as such a heartbreaking shock when we discovered he has TVT (Transmissible Venereal Tumor)—even though he is already neutered.

We first noticed something was wrong when blood began dripping from his legs and a mass started to form in his privates. After a series of tests, the vet confirmed our fears. We were told that it’s not uncommon for TVT lesions to show up after two months, with visible masses appearing even six months later.

Jeff now urgently needs to undergo chemotherapy to fully recover. Each session costs ₱3,200, and before he can start, several tests are required to ensure he is strong enough for treatment.

We are calling on our Earth Angels—our friends, followers, and kind-hearted supporters—to help Jeff fight this battle. Your sponsorship and donations will give him the chance to heal, be adopted, and finally live the healthy, happy life he deserves.

Dearest Friends,

We are still searching for a new home for our rescued dogs.

Some kind-hearted souls have offered us land — even by the hectares — in Camsur, Quezon, and Nueva Ecija. Initially, our hearts leapt with joy at the thought of building a true sanctuary there: a safe haven with a proper isolation area, a clinic, and even a rehabilitation center for paraplegic rescues. That plus, a vast arra of green where our dogs could run freely.

But reality weighs heavy. Transporting 250 dogs across provinces is not only impractical but would also cost far more than we can shoulder. Our lives and small businesses are here in Metro Manila — and it is through these that we sustain the shelter, especially when donations fall short.

Still, we are holding on to faith. We pray that the Lord leads us to more kind souls who, like our few - loyal, compassionate and anonymous monthly donors, will share their blessings with our voiceless rescues.

🙏 This is our plea: If you have spare land in Rizal or Cavite, please consider donating or renting it to us at a charitable rate. It will go to a cause that TRULY saves lives.

We have given our all — our savings, our time, our hearts. But now, the burden is growing too heavy. Without outside help, we may soon lose everything we’ve built. Our shelter is crumbling day by day. With no proper electricity or water, repairs left undone since last year’s typhoons have turned into rot and rust. Our landlord cannot provide the documents needed for a power connection, leaving us powerless — literally and figuratively.

Yet through it all, our love for our rescues has never wavered. Each one is neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, treated for ticks and fleas, and never left to go hungry. Anyone who knows us can vouch: we love them like family.💖💯

And family cannot be abandoned. And neither will we abandon ours.

Not without a fight.
