As you all may have noticed, we’ve been limiting our hamster postings lately. We’re currently taking a temporary pause in breeding and rehoming hamsters due to the extreme summer heat, since hamsters are very sensitive to heat compared to other small pets.
We want to prioritize their wellbeing first, since the hot weather can cause a lot of stress for them. We know many have been asking about availability, but we believe this is the most responsible and ethical decision for our hammies for now. 🤍
‼️ We’d also like to advise everyone to keep your hamsters cool during this extreme heat by placing them in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight, and making sure they always have fresh water available. You may also provide cooling methods like ceramic tiles, cooling pads, or air circulation to help lessen heat stress. ☀️
