A young female cat named Yuumi was brought to the Beast Friend Veterinary Clinic after experiencing persistent vomiting for several days.

Upon examination, our team suspected a 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗯𝗼𝗱𝘆 𝗼𝗯𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗙𝗕𝗢), a condition where a swallowed object becomes lodged in the digestive tract, preventing normal function.

We performed an 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗺𝘆, a surgical procedure where the intestine is opened to remove obstructions. In Yuumi's case, the culprit was a chewed hard plastic resembling a drinking straw. She was admitted for three days of post-operative monitoring and responded well to treatment.

Cats, especially curious young ones, often explore the world with their mouths. To prevent everyday items such as rubber bands, strings, and small plastics from turning into medical emergencies:

Kaishi was brought to Beast Friend Vet Clinic showing signs of a 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝗹𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗲𝗿 (𝘯𝘪𝘩𝘶𝘣𝘢𝘨 𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘰𝘨) and 𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗮 (𝘥𝘪𝘭𝘪 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘪𝘩𝘪). These symptoms indicated a serious urinary blockage, a frequent issue among male cats with UTIs (urinary tract infections).

Our veterinary team performed a 𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝘆, a surgical procedure that creates a wider opening in the perineal area (the space between the a**s and ge****ls) to allow urine to pass more freely. This surgical intervention is often necessary when less invasive treatments for urinary blockages are no longer effective.

Kaishi stayed under close observation for five days and responded well to treatment.
