🐾 Diesel’s Blood Transfusion Journey ❤️
Diesel was brought to Salubrious Top Tails Animal Clinic and Grooming Center in a very critical condition. He was extremely weak, had completely lost his appetite, and was no longer able to stand or get up on his own.
Our attending veterinarian immediately performed a Complete Blood Count (CBC) along with other confirmatory diagnostic tests to determine the underlying cause of his condition. The results revealed that Diesel’s blood values—particularly his RBC (Red Blood Cell count), Hematocrit (HCT), Hemoglobin (HGB), and Platelet (PLT) levels—were dangerously low, making his condition life-threatening.
With the full support and consent of his owner, emergency treatment was started right away. Due to the severity of his anemia, a blood transfusion was performed to stabilize his condition and give him a fighting chance.
Today, we are grateful to share that Diesel is back home with his family. He is eating well again, regaining his strength, and slowly returning to his happy and active self. While he has made remarkable progress, his recovery journey is not yet over. He will continue to undergo close monitoring and receive ongoing treatment to ensure a full recovery.
