102.35 INFECTION TO A 10 YEAR OLD DOG

Patient France, a 10 year old female dog was brought to the clinic due to thick reddish-brown vaginal discharges.

Complete Blood Count showed very high bacterial infection, 102.35 (normal: 6-17) and low Platelets. Blood Chemistry also showed liver problem and low glucose. Ultrasound confirmed the diagnosis of pyometra to patient France.

Despite of the risk of the surgery, her loving furparents decided patient France to undergo Ovariohysterectomy surgery (pag tanggal sa obaryo at matres).

Thank you to the hands-on skill of the whole surgical and medical team for saving Patient France until her discharge from hospitalization.

LENDING A HAND TO SAVE THE PAW

Patient Taba, a rescued cat was brought to the clinic due to foul smelling, ulcerated necrotic wound (nabubulok na sugat) on the right paw of the forelimb suspectedly caused by traumatic injury.

Laboratories also showed viral infections and kidney problem which he also battling during patient’s hospitalization.

With proper assessment of the patient and treatment regimen given, the medical team were able to save the paw from amputation (pag putol sa nabubulok na paa).

Thank you to his new furparent who provided all his medical needs.

EXCITING CASE OF THE DAY!

Patient Ash, a 6 year old female Aspin brought to the clinic presented as recumbent, hypothermic, severely lethargic with foul brownish-red vaginal discharges.

Complete Blood Count showed very high bacterial infection, White Blood Cell count of 93.43 (normal: 6-17). Blood Chemistry result also showed high ALKP, which indicates Cholestatic Liver Disease. Pyometra was diagnosed and confirmed to Patient Ash through Ultrasonography and showed distended uterus with fluids(pus).

Ovariohysterectomy surgery (removal of ovaries and uterus) was successfully performed and patient Ash went home after few days of hospitalization.
