So many cat lovers are still unaware. Meron diyan magtataka pa bakit nanganak ng black yung white cat niya. So allow me to explain in the most basic way -
β’ ang (genetic) color po ng pusa ay 2 klase lang talaga - black and orange.
β’ ang whiteness ay genetic feature lang
Ibig sabihin po nito, kahit pure white ang cat mo, may dala-dala pa rin siyang black and/or orange color.

β’ ang nagdadala ng color ng cat ay X chromosome
Kaya ang mga female (XX) cat ay kaya magdala up to 2 colors - black and/or orange dahil may 2 X chromosomes sila.
Meanwhile, ang male (XY) cat ay hanggang one color lang - either black or orange, kasi meron lang silang 1 X chromosome.
At sa usaping heredity, ibig sabihin nito, magpapamana ng 1 color ang mama cat at 1 color ang papa cat kung ang kitten nila ay female. At kung male yung maging kitten nila, yung 1 color lang ng mama niya ang makukuha niya.
By virtue of deduction/induction, kaya mahuhulaan mo minsan ang magiging kulay ng kuting - or mahuhulaan mo kung sino ang papa cat based sa color ng kuting.

β’ ang gray, brown, or cream ay variation lang din ng black and orange - may additional gene feature para dito na magsasabi ng shade ng black or orange niya.
β’ kapag calico (orange & black) ang isang male cat - rare ito, pero isang itong abnormality kaya di rin nakakatuwa. May negative effect siyang dala sa health ng cat.
