Have you noticed your cat’s paw pads looking soft, swollen, or “pillowy”?

This may be plasma cell pododermatitis, commonly called pillow foot, an immune-mediated condition that causes the paw pads to become enlarged, soft, and sometimes painful. In some cases, the pads may develop cracks or ulcers, making it uncomfortable for cats to walk or jump.

Treatment may include anti-inflammatory medications and antibiotics if a secondary infection is present.

Living Strong with a Bigger Heart

B, an 8-year-old patient, was diagnosed with congestive heart failure (CHF) after presenting with severe coughing every 30 minutes and exercise intolerance.

While the condition is not curable, early detection, proper medication, and regular monitoring can help maintain a good quality of life.

Today, B is livelier, happier, and has shown a marked improvement in coughing. 🐾❤️

Two Brave Cats, One Important Reminder

These two male feline patients visited our clinic due to urinary obstruction, a life-threatening emergency that prevents a cat from passing urine, causing toxins to build up rapidly in the body. Without immediate treatment, this condition can become fatal within 24–72 hours.

⚠️ Watch for these warning signs:
• Frequent trips to the litter box with little or no urine produced
• Straining or crying while trying to urinate
• Blood-tinged urine
• Excessive licking of the ge***al area
• Vomiting
• Loss of appetite or refusal to eat
• Lethargy or hiding more than usual
• A painful, enlarged bladder or a firm abdomen
