Ear mites are microscopic parasites that live inside a cat's ear canal and feed on ear wax and skin oils.

These highly contagious pests are common in kittens and outdoor cats.

Watch for these signs:
โœ… Head shaking or tilting
โœ… Persistent scratching of the ears
โœ… Dark, crumbly discharge (often looks like coffee grounds)
โœ… Bad odor from the ear
โœ… Hair loss or wounds around the ears from excessive scratching
โœ…Sensitivity or pain when the ears are touched

If you notice any of these signs, consult your veterinarian for an accurate diagnosis and treatment plan.
