Philippine Airlines (PAL) has officially launched its FurPAL program across all domestic flights, giving passengers the option to bring their small dogs into the aircraft cabin rather than check them as cargo.
The program—initially introduced in November 2025—now covers every domestic route, allowing pet owners to fly with their furry companions whether they're heading to Boracay, Davao, Bacolod, or any other local destination.
Under the FurPAL program, passengers can bring one small dog up to 10 kg, at least eight weeks old, fully weaned, and housed in a soft‑sided, leak‑proof carrier with p*e pads and proper ventilation. The pet carrier must fit under the seat in front of the passenger for the entire duration of the flight. Up to three small dogs are allowed per flight.
To ensure safety and compliance, PAL requires health certificates, updated vaccination records, a veterinary certificate, a PAL waiver and declaration form, and a Bureau of Animal Industry shipping permit. Pet sedation is strictly prohibited, and the airline maintains high air‑quality standards with hospital‑grade HEPA filters and thorough cabin sanitation before each flight.
The FurPAL add‑on costs ₱2,500 one‑way, and travelers can easily book the service online by selecting FurPAL in the Travel Boost section when finalizing their flight.
