To Sophie,

We may have lost a fur family member, a best friend, and someone who gave love unconditionally—but heaven gained the most caring, gentle, and peace-making fur angel. No more pain for you. We battled the odds and extended your days, which turned into weeks and then months with us—and we cherished every moment.

We all knew this day would come. Even if we tried to prepare, it still aches our hearts. We mourn your passing, but at the same time, we are glad that you did not experience further suffering.

We hope we made your remaining days with us happy. But we know, in our hearts, that whatever love we gave you, you received it with open arms.

I’m happy that you’re now with your Mom (Mindy), your Tita (Melo), and your friend-sister (Arya). Play all you want, run all you want, fetch all the balls you want, and be free with them in heaven. Always watch over us here below. You will never be forgotten—you’ll always be part of our stories and forever in our hearts.
