We were entrusted with the care of this lovely Exotic Shorthair queen and her one and only precious kitten while their breeder was away on holiday. Upon initial assessment, the kitten appeared healthy. Although there were concerns about its weight being slightly below the expected range. We observed that the mother cat was quite selective with her food, despite being provided with both wet and dry options by her owner. Additionally, she tended to roam when placed in a spacious whelping area which may have contributed to inconsistent nursing. To address this, we offered her a premium Royal Canin wet food which she readily consumed and continued to eat with a healthy appetite thereafter. We also moved her to a more confined and comfortable space which encouraged her to nurse more consistently and attentively. Over the next few days, the kitten showed steady and healthy weight gain. Both mother and kitten are now thriving and ready to return home. Thank you for entrusting us with their care, Ma'am Nyree!
