Dietary complete food for adult cats intended to reduce oxalate stone formation and to dissolve struvite stones and prevent struvite stone re-formation.

Indication:

• Struvite stones

• Calcium oxalate stones

• Urinary tract diseases

Contraindication:

• Kittens

• Medication with urine acidifying drugs

• Hypertension

• Chronic renal failure

Acidification of urine pH
An acidic environment can prevent the formation of and promote dissolution of struvite stones.

Low calcium and magnesium content
The low content in the feed can inhibit crystal formation because calcium and magnesium are part of urinary stones.

Increase in urine volume
Water absorption is stimulated, thereby flushing the urinary tract through better.

Protection of the lining of the bladder
Glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate can strengthen the epithelial cells in the lining of the bladder.

Feeding period
Feeding period depends on type of disease. A feeding period of 5-12 weeks is recommended for dissolution of existing struvite stones, and a feeding period of up to 6 months is recommended for struvite stone prevention.
