DON’T LEAVE YOUR BEST FRIEND BEHIND! 🐾
As the sun comes out, it’s easy to think a “quick 5-minute errand” is harmless. But for our furry friends, it can be a matter of life and death.
🌡️ The Scary Truth:
▪️ Oven Effect: Even on a mild 70°F (21°C) day, the inside of a car can skyrocket to 100°F (38°C) in just 20 minutes.
▪️ Windows Don't Help: Cracking the window provides almost zero relief from the rising heat.
▪️ Different Cooling: Dogs don't sweat like us; they rely on panting, which is impossible in a stifling, hot car.
⚠️ Watch for these Signs of Heatstroke:
⚫ Excessive, frantic panting or drooling.
⚫ Lethargy, weakness, or stumbling.
⚫ Dark red gums or tongue.
The safest place for your pet during the heat is at home with plenty of fresh water and shade.
Let's keep our four-legged friends safe, cool, and happy this season! 🐶💛
