Due to the scheduled power interruption in our area as per PELCO III and NGCP, Happy Pets Veterinary Clinic will REMAIN OPEN and continue to serve our clients.

Our clinic has a generator, so we can continue operating and keep our patients comfortable with air conditioning. However,

⚠️ GROOMING SERVICES WILL BE TEMPORARILY UNAVAILABLE TOMORROW due to the power interruption. Since there will be no water supply, and our generator cannot support the grooming razors and other equipment, grooming operations will be suspended for the day.

✂️ Grooming will resume on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, starting at 9:00 AM.

🐾❤️ TWIX'S RECOVERY STORY ❤️🐾

Twix visited our clinic few weeks ago and was diagnosed with Canine Ehrlichiosis, a tick-borne disease that can cause fever, lethargy, loss of appetite, weight loss, anemia, low platelet count, bleeding tendencies, and other serious complications if left untreated.

Today, we're happy to share that Twix has successfully completed his treatment and is back to being active, playful, and feeling much better! 🎉🐶

Twix's recovery is a great reminder that early diagnosis, proper treatment, and committed pet owners can make a huge difference in the outcome of many diseases.

🩺 What causes Ehrlichiosis?
Ehrlichiosis is caused by bacteria transmitted through the bite of infected ticks. Even indoor pets can be at risk if ticks are accidentally brought into the home by people, other pets, or through outdoor exposure.

🔬 Why is testing important?

At Happy Pets Veterinary Clinic, every life matters. Regardless of breed, appearance, or status. ❤️ We would like to remind everyone that aspins and puspins deserve the same love, care, respect, and medical attention as any purebred dog or cat. Being “mixed breed” does not make them less valuable, less lovable, or less deserving.

As veterinary professionals, we do not discriminate. Whether your pet is a champion bloodline, an aspin rescued from the streets, a puspin adopted from outside your home, or a beloved domestic short-haired cat. Pantay-pantay po ang pagtingin at pag-aalaga namin sa kanila.

We hope mas marami pang tao ang magkaroon ng ganitong mindset and avoid discrimination towards aspins and puspins. Animals do not choose their breed, status, or where they were born. What they deserve is kindness, responsible ownership, proper veterinary care, and a loving home.

☀️ SUMMER SEASON IS HERE! PROTECT YOUR PETS FROM HEAT STROKE ☀️

As temperatures continue to rise, our furry family members are at high risk of heat stroke; a serious, life-threatening emergency.

Dogs and cats cannot cool down like humans do, and even a few minutes in extreme heat can lead to:

⚠️ Excessive panting
⚠️ Weakness or collapse
⚠️ Vomiting
⚠️ Seizures
⚠️ Organ failure

To keep your pets safe this summer, remember these tips:

🌤️ Always provide fresh water and shade
🚫 Never leave pets inside a parked car (even for “a few minutes”)
🏠 Limit outdoor playtime during peak heat hours (10AM–4PM)
🧼 For grooming pets, bring them early — summer means more grooming clients!
🥵 Watch out for signs of overheating and seek vet care immediately
