PNP SEIZES ₱7.45M SHABU; 2 HIGH-VALUE SUSPECTS ARRESTED IN BOHOL BUY-BUST
The Philippine National Police (PNP), under the leadership of PNP Chief PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., conducted a successful buy-bust operation at 12:56 AM on April 27, 2026 in Purok 3, Brgy. Dampas, Tagbilaran City, Bohol, resulting in the arrest of two high-value individuals and the seizure of suspected shabu valued at ₱7,458,920.00.
The joint operation was carried out by Tagbilaran City Police Station (CPS), Provincial Police Drug Enforcement Unit (PPDEU) of Bohol PPO, Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 7 (RPDEU 7), and Special Operations Unit 7 of the PNP Drug Enforcement Group (SOU 7). Authorities confiscated approximately 1,096.9 grams of suspected shabu, along with the buy-bust money and other pieces of evidence. The suspects and recovered items are now under the custody of Tagbilaran CPS for proper documentation and filing of charges.
The operation is consistent with the PNP Focused Agenda, particularly under Enhanced Managing Police Operations, which reinforces sustained and intelligence-driven anti-illegal drug operations aimed at dismantling drug distribution activities and strengthening field-level enforcement outcomes.
PNP Chief PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. said: “This successful operation reflects our continued commitment to disrupt illegal drug activities and prevent them from reaching our communities. We will sustain our efforts against all forms of drug trafficking.”
As the PNP intensifies its anti-illegal drug operations under the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., it continues to assure the public of “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong mabilis, tapat, at nararamdaman.”
