⚠️ PARVO CASES ARE RISING — PLEASE PROTECT YOUR PETS ⚠️
We are seeing an increasing number of suspected and confirmed parvovirus cases in both dogs and cats.
Parvo is highly contagious and can become life-threatening, especially in puppies, kittens, unvaccinated pets, and pets with incomplete vaccinations.
Common warning signs include:
• Sudden loss of appetite
• Vomiting
• Diarrhea, sometimes with blood
• Weakness or lethargy
• Fever or dehydration
For dogs, protection against canine parvovirus is included in core combination vaccines such as 5-in-1 / 6-in-1 / 8-in-1, depending on the vaccine used.
For cats, feline panleukopenia, sometimes called feline parvo, is also highly contagious and preventable through proper vaccination such as the 3-in-1 / 4-in-1 feline vaccine, depending on the brand and formulation.
💉 Please make sure your pets are vaccinated and that their booster shots are up to date.
Do not wait for an outbreak in your household before taking action. Vaccination is still one of the best ways to protect your pets from severe and preventable diseases.
If your pet is experiencing vomiting, diarrhea, weakness, or loss of appetite, keep them isolated from other pets and consult a veterinarian as soon as possible.
